Challenge

Walmart stores being the size of three football fields, it becomes challenging when customers can't find something. We were challenged with using new technology to delight customers as they look for and discover new items in-store.

Results

When testing these concepts with customers they found the interactive store maps and the in-store GPS feature very helpful and made navigating our large stores more manageable. Unfortunately implementing in-store GPS wasn’t feasible at scale. 

The team did end up prioritizing features that helped customers discover deals in-store without in-store GPS. These concepts also confirmed that we need to simplify our two different in-store scanner features.
