Bringing together Walmart’s Favoriting feature
Walmart had two apps in 2020. It’s traditional E-commerce app that sells General Merchandise and it’s new growing Online Grocery app that mainly sells perishable food. To have a better customer experience Walmart decided to unify the two apps, including Favoriting and Lists—core features that I owned.

Challenge
Favoriting and Lists are important to the business because customers that use them would spend 25% more than customers that did not.
The two versions of Favoriting and Lists have different functionality for each customer type. We needed to bring these features together in an simple and intuitive way.
Results
The redesigned Favoriting and My Items featured a clean, clutter-free interface, making it easier for users to navigate and access essential features.
The improved experience resulted in a 53% increase in unique customers.
The addition of personalization and customization options enhanced user engagement, leading to a 67% in user retention.
